We will begin by planing the raw scroll block perfectly square to the exact, desired measurements. Next, you will scribe the traditional outline using the templates supplied in the course.
Using a fine hand saw, you will cut out the profile and carefully refine the shape right up to your layout line. From there, the true artistry begins as we carve the sides and gracefully undercut the volutes, adding dramatic, elegant depth to the turns.
Finally, you will carve the classic back fluting, clear out the pegbox, and meticulously apply the final chamfer edges—bringing the character of your scroll beautifully to life.
